Last Mets' game of the season!

Eli had such a great time at his first Mets game (and his second) (and all the rest of the MLB games he went to!) that we decided to go to one more game at the end of the season.  Nana and Pop-pop came to NY to visit and it was a nice day, so we headed down to CitiField!

"Woohoo!  Another Mets game!"

Daddy and Eli at CitiField!

So cute!!

"A great end to a wonderful summer of
MLB baseball!"

Eli's first day of "school"

At the beginning of September, Eli had a very big day -- his first day at the baby-sitter's!

Eli goes to a sitter's house with just a few other young kids (including his favorite Madeline!), but Ryan calls it "school".  In the few weeks he has been going to "school", he definitely has learned a lot!

We were very lucky to work out schedules so that one of us was home with Eli everyday for more than 8 months and we are very lucky that we were recommended to a great sitter!  It's comforting to know that Eli is in good hands the 3 days a week that we're not with him.

Seriously, adorable, right? (6)

It's been a while since I posted a random cute photo ... but I couldn't resist with this one!

Eli takes his Godfather to the Yankees game!

One of the highlights of August was taking Fruncle Steve to a Yankees game for his birthday and one-year wedding anniversary.  Aunt Kelly, Ms. Cori and Grandma came with us too!  Eli was very excited because he waited all summer to go to his very first Yankees game with his Fruncle Steve!

In addition to celebrating Steve's birthday, it was also a special game because Eli's Grandpa (my and Steve's dad) was a huge Yankees fan.  As Grandpa passed away just 3 months before Eli was born, we took a moment and left a special memento in honor of Grandpa at Yankee Stadium.  I'd like to think that Eli will always think about his Grandpa when we go to Yankees games.

This may have been one of Eli's favorite games of the whole summer!

"Grandma, everyone's facing the
other way.  I think that's where
the game is being played!"

"Mom, I know you want a photo of
me with Fruncle and Aunt Kel, but I
am trying to watch the game!"

Watching the game with Fruncle

"These afternoon games always happen during naptime ..."

"Now Ms. Cori, I gotta tell ya,
I love the Yankees and I am so happy
you're all here with me!"

"So much fun at my first Yankees game!!!!"

Feising in AC

In early August, we met up with cousin Hannah in Atlantic City to see her compete in an Irish Dance Feis.  It's so fun to watch her jig!!  She obviously loves every second that she is up and dancing for the judges (and Eli loves watching her dance!)!

Hannah won 3rd place!!

"I love Feising!"

Cousin Sophia, Aunt Lori, Nana, and Pop-pop were also in AC with us and we had a great time at the beach, hitting up the surf and playing in the sand, as well as doing some outlet shopping and swimming in the hotel pool!  I think Eli is already looking forward to next summer's Feis in AC*!

"I love the Jersey Shore!!  Atlantic City rocks!"

"This ocean is crazy!"

Eli's napping ... so the girls are building sand castles!

"The beach was fun, but the pool rocks too!"

*We hope the recover from Hurricane Sandy goes well and we can visit the Jersey Shore again next summer!

Bronx Zoo with Hannah and Sophia

Another July adventure included a trip to the Bronx Zoo with cousins Hannah and Sophia.  We always have a good time at the zoo!

"Another day, another visit to the Bronx Zoo"

"Sure, there are animals, but I just love trees!"

Sophia loving her camel ride!

AAA All Star Game!

The 25th AAA All Star Game was held in Buffalo this summer (home of the Buffalo Bisons!).  As we have been taking Eli on the tour of major league baseball stadiums, we thought a minor league all star game would be fun!

Actually, we had two nights of fun -- the home run derby and then the all star game itself.  We had a great time with Fruncle Steve, Aunt Kel, and Grandma!  Here are just a few photos of our fun:

Eli Wynne, future Olympian?

In all his excitement over the Summer Olympics, Eli decided he wanted to throw a summer picnic in Buffalo for all of our friends and family and have some Olympic-sized fun!

It was a wonderful day and we were so happy that everyone stopped by to see us!  Our only regret is that we didn't take enough photos of everyone!  Friends we haven't seen in a long time stopped by and family came in from out of state!  So much fun!

We'll let some photos tell the story!
